Responsible for assisting Landscape Maintenance Operation, Regional and Department Manager in their geographic area by filling in when a management vacancy occurs, training frontline and management personnel, estimating and performing sales activities, and completing special projects as determined essential by the Landscape Maintenance Department Manager or Chief Operating Officer. This position requires an individual who is very flexible, an effective problem solver who gets along well with customers and employees, and possesses strong horticultural and managerial skills. Special Project Manager lI works under the direction of the Landscape Maintenance Operation, Regional or Department Manager with a skill level equal to or exceeding Account Manager II. Customer service responsibilities include but are not limited to communicating with managers (both internal and external), performing project estimation and sales tasks, as well as customer site tours, surveys, and meetings.
Leads multi-site portfolio operations and supports Regional Vice President in their geographic area by managing subcontractors and communicating landscape needs with account managers & customers.
Requires an individual who is very flexible, an effective problem solver who gets along well with customers and employees, and possesses strong sales, estimating, and managerial skills.
Flexibility to prioritize and assess job assignments based upon Company needs as determined by Regional Vice President.
Performs site visits on subcontracted sites outside the Bay Area, requiring overnight travel multiple days per month.
Performs account management, extra work sales and estimation of new work.
Completes special projects with minimal direction.
Possesses and utilizes the strength, character and leadership skills necessary to inspire fellow workers to strive for top quality and efficient performance.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in computer applications to support the position. (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace, etc.)
Prior business and sales development experience preferred
Three or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture/Agriculture/Environmental Sciences or 30 semester units of related courses preferred.
